Texas Kayak Guide offers kayak tours, paddling and safety instruction and kayak guide services including kayak fishing and pleasure kayaking and integrated kayak and fishing instruction clinics. A fishing guide licensed by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD, www.tpwd.state.tx.us) and a kayak trip leader and instructor certified by the American Canoe Association (ACA, www.americancanoe.org), Marshall Hosea shares his love of the Texas waters and his knowledge of nature and fishing to offer a unique outdoor experience.
An avid outdoorsman and active conservationist, Marshall is a member of the Coastal Conservation Association of Texas (CCA, www.ccatexas.org) and Trout Unlimited (TU, www.tu.org, www.grtu.org) and participates in volunteer conservation activities in Seabrook, Texas, Kemah, Texas and the Galveston Island, Texas areas. Marshall also supports local area conservation, fishing and kayaking activities and sponsors such as the River, Lakes, Bays 'n Bayous Trash Bash (www.trashbash.org), Seabrook Saltwalter Derby (www.ci.seabrook.tx.us), KO Sailing (www.kosailing.com) and Marburger's Sporting Goods. In conjunction with the Pearland Parks and Recreation Department (www.pearlandparks.com), we are offering kayak instruction classes to both children and adults starting in January 2012. We use Hobie Kayaks, Ocean Kayaks - including the new Torque Kayak with a Minn-Kota trolling motor, Wilderness Kayaks and Pelican Kayaks to explore and enjoy our Texas outdoors.
Marshall is as experienced in freshwater as he is in saltwater. Galveston Bay, Chocolate Bayou, Christmas Bay, Trinity Bay, Lake Conroe, Lake Livingston, Lake Houston, Lake Sam Rayburn - all are waters Marshall has navigated and fished for over 30 years. Texas State Parks including Galveston Island State Park, Sheldon Lake State Park, Huntsville State Park, Martin Dies Jr. State Park and Lake Livingston State Park (www.tpwd.state.tx.us), and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Parks including Hank's Creek Park, Mill Creek Park, Shirley Creek Park and Jackson Hill Park & Marina (www.corpslakes.us/samrayburn) and the waters through which many of the 48 Texas Parks & Wildlife Department Paddling Trails (www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/boat/paddlingtrails/) run have been his Texas playground since he was a child.
